At Vienna-Schwechat Airport, the effects of the sometimes tough entry and quarantine regulations of various countries are clearly noticeable. In November 2020, only 181.115 passengers were counted. In direct comparison with the same month last year, this corresponds to a decrease of 92,4 percent.
Group-wide (Vienna, Kosice and Luqa) 22.554 passengers were counted. The group is thus 92,3 percent below the value of the previous year. The Vienna Airport location recorded a decline of 92,4 percent to 181.115 passengers. Cumulative from January to November 2020, the number of passengers at Vienna Airport fell by 74,0 percent to 7.586.101 travelers.
The number of local passengers decreased by 2020 percent in November 92,6, the number of transfer passengers fell by 92,2 percent. The flight movements recorded in November 2020 a minus of 79,4 percent. There was a decrease of 21,8 percent in freight volume compared to November of the previous year.
The number of passengers at Vienna Airport to Western Europe fell by 2020 percent in November 91,9, and to Eastern Europe by 92,2 percent. Passenger traffic to North America fell by 93,6 percent and Africa recorded a decline of 92,8 percent. In the Near and Middle East, the number of passengers fell by 91,8 percent. The number of passengers traveling to the Far East fell by 2020 percent in November 98,2.
At Malta Airport, the number of passengers dropped by 2020 percent in November 91,9 and Kosice Airport recorded a decrease in passengers of 93,3 percent.
