The low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizzair once again carried fewer passengers in October 2020. For the Irish, the number fell to 4,1 million travelers. In September 2020 there were still 5,1 million passengers on board. Wizzair deteriorated from 1,5 million passengers in September to 1,1 million passengers in October 2020.

The Ryanair Group puts the average occupancy rate at 73 percent. The Hungarian competitor reports this with 65,9 percent. For comparison: In October 2019 the Irish lowcoster carried 13,8 million passengers. At Wizzair there were 3,7 million passengers. For both carriers, the outlook for November 2020 is extremely bleak, as offers across the network are being cut back sharply due to a lack of demand.
