In Munich, Lufthansa is reacting to the upcoming competition on the route to Paris-Orly. With the start of the winter timetable period 2021/22, the crane plans to operate this route twice a day.

Competitor Air France will start non-stop flights to Paris-Orly from Berlin-Brandenburg and Munich on October 31, 2021. According to the airline, these should not replace the existing CDG offer, but complement it. Aircraft of the type Airbus A318 are planned as aircraft, reports Aviation Direct.

Lufthansa wants to fly from Munich up to twice a day. The operational implementation of the Orly flights is to be carried out by the subsidiary Cityline. Regional jets of the type Bombardier CRJ-900 have been announced as aircraft. Orly Airport is particularly popular with business travelers as it is closer to downtown Paris than the larger Charles de Gaulle Airport.
