Golf carrier Qatar Airways is celebrating its 25th anniversary at Munich Airport, because in 1998 this airport was the first in the Federal Republic of Germany to be included in the route network. Up to two daily Doha flights are currently offered.

“Qatar Airways has been a reliable customer and partner at Munich Airport for 25 years, and has operated continuous passenger flights from Munich to Qatar even during the corona pandemic. The airline's cargo planes are now regular guests at Munich Airport. We congratulate Qatar Airways on their anniversary and look forward to continuing our close cooperation,” said Munich Airport Director Jost Lammers.

One started in 1998 with the machine type Airbus A300-600. At the moment, A350 is mostly used. On the anniversary flight QR58 from Munich to Doha, the travelers were surprised with small gifts that were handed over together with representatives of the airport.

“We are very pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our flights between Munich and Doha, Qatar today. Qatar Airways remains committed to the German market, offering seamless connections between these two great countries and beyond to our network of more than 160 destinations. This service allows our passengers in Germany to experience Qatar Airways' unparalleled travel experience with the highest quality products and the highest quality of customer service during their journey. We would like to thank Munich Airport for being a trusted partner for a quarter of a century and look forward to continued cooperation,” said Qatar Airways Vice President Sales, Europe, Eric Odone.
