It seems that Ryanair wants to close more bases. After Ryanair recorded a net loss of the equivalent of 2020 million euros in the second quarter of 185, this is also inevitable. Negotiations with the trade unions have also not been crowned with success. Specifically, it should affect individual bases in Germany, Spain and Italy, such as ch-aviation.com reported.

“We did not succeed in convincing German pilots to accept cuts in wages. That is why we have announced the closings of our bases in Stuttgart, Berlin-Tegel, Düsseldorf-Weeze and Frankfurt. At the end of the summer flight schedule, the Lauda closure in Stuttgart is also imminent. I think that wasn't all. We are also looking at some bases in Spain where the unions have not yet agreed on the wage cuts we need, ”said Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary.
