The Dutch airline Transavia will be offering the destination Amsterdam from Salzburg all year round from July 2021. Two circuits per week are to be carried out in the summer of 2021. Changes to the parent company KLM and other Skyteam partners are also possible in Schiphol.

“We are delighted that we can also include this beautiful destination in our network in summer. Austria is not only a popular destination for Dutch people in winter, but is also very popular in summer. The city of Salzburg and the beautiful surroundings offer everything you need for a relaxing and wonderful holiday ”, says Marcel de Nooijer, CEO of Transavia.

“During the crisis, convincing an existing partner of the airport to intensify its efforts on the Salzburg market was not easy. We are in competition with more than 30 European airports on routes such as Amsterdam, and this has become even tougher during the Corona crisis, ”says airport manager Bettina Ganghofer.

At the beginning only point-to-point bookings will be possible, but according to Salzburg Airport preparations are in progress in the background, which will then enable transfers to KLM and Skyteam partners. "I am all the more pleased that our efforts have finally paid off and that from July we will not only be transporting guests to and from Amsterdam in winter, but also flying to the Dutch capital all year round," continued Ganghofer.
