The Salzburg comeback of the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will be even smaller than previously known. Only the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna is to be offered in the summer of 2021. Admission is scheduled for June 13, 2021.

A few days ago a Aviation Direct report announced that the announced connection to St. Petersburg has been postponed to September 19, 2021. If this deadline is met, Wizz Air would be around a year late.

Now the planned start of the non-stop connection to the inner-city airport Kyiv-Schuljany has also hit. After several postponements, this was announced for the end of June 2021. Nothing will come of it this time either, because Wizz Air is now announcing this route for September 17, 2021. This means that the comeback of the low-cost airline, which surprisingly took up some Salzburg routes last year that were suspended after a few revolutions, will be considerably smaller. It is unclear whether the recording date for Varna-Salzburg-Varna will be held.
