An emergency drill will take place at Stuttgart Airport on Saturday, September 25th, 2021. The airport fire brigade, together with the forces of the US airfield fire brigade, will complete an accident scenario with an airplane.

The regular exercise takes place on the south side of the airport in the area of ​​the air cargo / US airfield. Regular flight operations are not affected by the exercise. Such an exercise is prescribed every two years by the International Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The airport's fire brigade uses the training to check its own processes, and the smoothest possible integration of external forces in the event of a crisis should be further improved.
