The shipping company Tui Cruises is having an additional cruise ship built with the "Mein Schiff 7". Work started on June 14, 2022. It is currently assumed that the future fleet member will make its maiden voyage in 2024.

With regard to the cabins, however, there will be an innovation. According to Tui, there will also be individual cabins in the future. These are not available on the current fleet. The accommodations are around eight square meters in size and are primarily aimed at single travelers. Twelve inside and 14 outside cabins are available.

Tui Cruises explains that with the introduction of these single accommodations they want to open up a gap in the market. They want to sell these for a “small surcharge” for their own information. The sale of tickets for the premiere season of Mein Schiff 7 has already started in part.

The new building will also feature changes in the area of gastronomy. For example, the Abtanzbar is to be a mixture of club and casino. These include a live table and slot machines. In the future, an Italian and an Asian restaurant will be offered.
