There is some news in Zurich-Kloten Airport's winter flight schedule, which starts at the end of this month. For example, the new company Beond will launch and start direct flights (with refueling stops) to the Maldives.

From November 22, 2023, Edelweiss will now fly non-stop to Bogotá on Wednesdays and Sundays, then on to Cartagena and from there non-stop to Zurich. The increasingly popular South American country is now moving closer to Switzerland. From February to the end of March 2024, Ivalo and Kuusamo in Finland will also be on the Edelweiss winter flight schedule.

After a four-year break, Swiss is flying to Bremen four times a week again. The destinations Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Hanover are also served more frequently. A particular focus is on the Portuguese cities of Lisbon and Porto, which also serve EasyJet and TAP several times a week. Compared to last year's winter flight schedule 2022/23, this year the offer to Bucharest and Prague will also be expanded. The cities of Amsterdam (by KLM), Oslo (by Swiss and SAS) and Rome (by ITA), among others, will also be served more frequently than in last year's winter flight schedule.

Swiss is also expanding its long-haul offering and increasing the frequencies to Shanghai (from 3 to 6/7), Singapore (from 6 to 7/7) and Cairo (from 4 to 7/7) in the winter flight schedule. In the summer flight schedule, the home carrier served Miami with a daily flight. In the winter flight schedule it will operate the route mainly twice a day and is therefore back to pre-crisis levels on this route.

Air Malta is increasing its connections to Malta with nine instead of the previous seven flights per week and Croatia Airlines is increasing the frequencies to Pula and Split for the first time with flights on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the entire winter flight schedule. For the first time in the winter season, Cyprus Airways will operate the Larnaca-Zurich route with two flights per week. EasyJet will be adding the London Stansted destination to its winter flight schedule from mid-December and will operate the route on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Chair Airlines flies again to Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt.

From November 17, 2023, the newly founded airline BeOnd will fly twice a week from Zurich to Malé (Maldives). With 44 seats in an A319, BeOnd takes off towards the Indian Ocean - with a stopover in Dubai.
