The Austrian airline Zimex Austria has added another ATR42-300F to its fleet. This bears the registration OE-HZB and is around 29 years old. Managing director Hans-Jörg Lotter transferred the new fleet member of the Austrian Zimex offshoot.

The carrier has thus registered two ATR42-300F turboprop freighters on the AOC. The OE-HZA is 33,6 years old and was originally delivered to Bar Harbor Airlines as a passenger aircraft. This ATR42-300 was last used with passengers by the French Chalair before it was converted into a freighter. The OE-HZA has been flying for Zimex Austria since August 2019.

The OE-HZB is 29,1 years old and was originally delivered to ACES Colombia. This machine was also last used as a passenger aircraft at Chalair. This ATR42-300 was then converted into a freighter and has now joined the Zimex Austria fleet. This doubled the fleet of the Austrian branch of the Swiss aviation group.
