The presence of the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair in Salzburg was temporarily on the brink. Now the lowcoster decided that the route to London-Stansted should be reactivated. It is currently planned that two circuits per week will be offered from May 3, 2021.
The Dublin route, which is geared towards skiers, fell victim to the corona pandemic - like pretty much the entire winter tourist season. The low-cost airline intends to operate them again on December 18, 2021, i.e. in the coming ski season.
Palma de Mallorca, on the other hand, could fall victim to the group-wide string concert. The sale of tickets on this route has been discontinued for some time. This means that no tickets can be bought. A possible reactivation is not excluded in principle, but other routes seem to have a higher priority for Ryanair.
In the previous year, Ryanair and Laudamotion flew between Palma and Klagenfurt for a few weeks. This route will definitely not be reactivated and was closed last summer due to lack of demand discontinued early. The Carinthian market is considered difficult and the quarantine, which flourished for returnees after a stay on the Balearic island, is likely to have deterred many potential customers - to the detriment of Klagenfurt Airport.
In Vienna, Ryanair, Buzz, Malta Air and Lauda Europe will have many routes start much later than originally announced. You will also fly extremely low-frequency at the beginning. Competitor Wizz Air doesn't do anything different in the federal capital. The Hungarian low-cost airline is set to make a comeback in the city of Mozart not only reduced in size, but again belatedly respectively. The cause of all cuts in the entire industry is the corona pandemic.
